Steve Drye Bans All Students from East Meck

East Meck's classrooms were empty this Tuesday following Drye's order.

This Monday, September 29th, East Meck Principal Steve Drye announced that all students would no longer be tolerated on the school’s campus.

“We have allowed this to go on for far too long,” said Drye. “CMS procedures clearly state that it is a risk to allow students onto campus, where they could distract from important administrative tasks.”

Drye also cited concerns of “cell phone trafficking” perpetrated by East Meck’s nearly three thousand students.

“No matter how many restrictions we put into place, the students still try to circumvent them as much as possible,” remarked the frustrated principal. “The clear solution is to send all the students home and thus eliminate all distractions to the learning environment, in one fell swoop.”

The reaction to Drye’s move this week has been mixed. Students and teachers themselves have mostly approved of the reduced workload, but several critics pointed out that misbehaving students could still possibly go on campus and attempt to attend classes, given the lack of security systems and border walls on campus.

In response, Drye tried to alleviate concerns. “We’re going to be looking into that,” he said. “I’ve got several committees dedicated to wiping out every last trace of student life on this campus; if it requires a little necessary excessive force, then so be it.”
