Pardoned Turkey Allegedly Donated Millions to Trump Campaign

"Gobble," seen here being let off for his various crimes.

U.S. President Donald J. Trump pardoned a turkey this Thursday, as is traditional for the office. However, this year’s turkey pardoning has come into question as ties have emerged between the turkey, “Gobble,” and Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign.

An anonymous source, who asked to be named only as “Steve Buscemi,” said that Gobble was linked to upwards of $7,000,000 that had been donated to the Trump campaign in October 2025.

It is unclear where Gobble may have gotten the money for these donations, although it may have been linked to the organized crime ring he was originally sentenced for running.

Detectives with the FBI said the ring had raked in more than fifty million dollars by raising and selling humans for turkey consumption.

Civics experts across the world, and more importantly across East Meck, strongly condemned the move.

“You have to admit it raises questions of a conflict of interest,” said Ms. Deanna Miller, who teaches AP US Government & Politics. “The president has the power to unconditionally pardon, but is that something he should be exercising to free brutal criminals simply because they’ve buttered him up like a Thanksgiving turkey?”

A few teachers, however, felt differently. “The thing you have to consider is that the Constitution doesn’t explicitly say the president can’t sell his pardons on Temu,” said Mr. Robert Gearhart, who teaches Civics and IB Global Politics. “If the Framers hadn’t wanted this turkey to be pardoned, they would have written it down.”
